Our Umhlali CC branch of Kings Park Sports Medicine Centre (KPSMC) opened at the beginning of 2026. It is based on the same ethos and principles of KPSMC, which is a multidisciplinary clinic in Durban (first of its kind) formed 24 years ago.
This Umhlali branch is a vibrant and dynamic multidisciplinary clinic which offers Physiotherapy.
Our practitioners treat conditions across the board and are a proud and highly professional unit that integrate well together. We have a strong referral base for conditions that require specialised treatment or further investigations.
This clinic is open to both residents of the estate as well as non-residents – anyone is welcome!
Our team of physiotherapists are very hands-on as we believe this approach is essential in delivering the desired results.
We treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and specialise in sports injuries, spinal conditions of the neck and back, headaches, post-operative rehabilitation as well as general maintenance and conditioning of athletes.
Our typical treatment will consist of a hands-on soft tissue release as well as a joint mobilization or manipulation. We normally combine electrotherapy or acupuncture to the treatment depending on the condition.
A comprehensive assessment is given in the first session and exercise prescriptions are given in the following sessions. Patients may then be referred to the Biokineticist.
